Wildwood is one of Calgary's most coveted inner-city communities, occupying a natural plateau above the Bow River valley in the city's SW quadrant. The community has an almost cottage-like atmosphere, with winding streets, mature tree canopy, and many homes backing onto ravines and natural areas. Original post-war homes on large lots dominate, though infill development has introduced some modern builds. The Edworthy Park escarpment provides direct access to kilometres of forested ravine trails and the Bow River pathway. Wildwood commands a price premium relative to adjacent communities due to its unique topography, mature character, and strong demand from buyers who never want to leave.
